The two organizations are partnering to develop the elementary school into a "community school". Check out the interview to learn all about this amazing initiative that integrates the arts and the community with the school's students and their families. Justin also gives us the background on <a href="http://headsuplancaster.org/" target="_blank">Heads Up Lancaster</a> that currently coordinates over 20 local urban artists who share their gifts and talents with the youth in Lancaster City. Joyce the story of how and why she and her husband <a href="http://lancastergalleries.com/tag/michael-heberlein/" target="_blank">Michael Heberlein</a> started the gallery and some insight into the history of the Lancaster art scene. She also shared the reasoning behind the selections made for The First 30. The show opens this Lancaster First Friday, March 7.
