Summary: Guns, Gays, and Sexy Liberals! This week on Talking Left, we tried to give you all the news that the corporate media ignored this week - and gave you our take on a few stories that they actually talked about. We talked about Senator Rand Paul's lawsuit against President Obama, and the Comcast-Time Warner merger - which poses a huge risk to internet freedom. We got into the VW Union vote, the NRA victory in California, and the House Democrats taking a stand against Republican obstructionism. And, somehow - we even had time for two great guests. First, we spoke with Sexy Liberal John Fugelsang about the newest dates added to the Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour. The Sexy Liberals were invited back to Florida for a last-minute show on Pride Weekend, and you only have a short time to get your tickets before they sell out. John also gave us his thoughts on Rand Paul, Chris Christie, and the future of the Republican Party - all of which provide brilliant comedians with plenty of material. We also heard from Justin Duckham, the Chief Washington Correspondent for Talk Radio News Service, about House Speaker John Boehner putting forward a "clean" debt limit bill - and the bipartisan majority of the Senate telling Ted Cruz where he can stick it. Hopefully, Boehner and moderate Republicans will see that the public supports them when they get actual work done, and we see more action like this from them in the future... but, we won't hold our breath on that.
