Teachers hit the picket lines after nearly 10 months of negotiating with the <a href="http://www.medford.k12.or.us/" target="_blank"><strong>Medford district</strong></a> failed to produce a teacher contract. The teachers' union and the district planned to return to talks over the weekend, while the district prepared to reopen schools on Tuesday with substitute teachers.
