“Film Threat” Goes Back to the Future

Proudly Resents: The cult movie podcast show

Summary: "Film Threat" magazine has been a force in independent cinema since the 80's. They were one of the first to go from print to web in the late 90's. Now they rebel again by adding a quarterly glossy mag to it's family of websites, apps and podcast. Owner/publisher Mark Bell joins us to gives us history of the zine, names filmmakers to watch, crowns the best video store in the world and he defends Kevin Smith's  "Jersey Girl" (Record scratch, dog going "huh?"). Plus, we learn about his days as a bear. (Not the Nic Cage kind.) Don't kid yourself, he's not just here for our enjoyment, but to raise money to make the mag. appear at a newsstand near you.  Donate. Notes. Mark Mentioned...
