In the vernacular of the minimalist running movement, barefoot running has a different context to the actuality of running with no shoes. The transition from a shod runner to what I call a natural form movement needs to be done with a degree of mindfulness and body awareness. Listening to the body and what its demands are, give you the best return on a training advice. If your feet are too sore to run then don't run simple as that. Consistency and simple demands on your body will return you a better result then you not listening to what your body is telling you and you overdoing everything.
