Every year The Radio Academy invites 10 of UK Radio’s most promising new entrants to participate in “Festival Radio” – this is the result of their first day of audio production. Highlights from the first day of the Radio Festival 2013 include: a round-up of TechCon 2013, including interviews with the host David Lloyd and chair Simon Tuff, and packages from the “TechCon Debate” and 4G mobile broadcasting session; from the main Festival there is audio from “Does Radio Have Talent” with Patrick Kielty, and interviews with new Radio Academy CEO Paul Robinson and Head of BBC Radio Helen Boaden.
