Summary: The Bible places great significance on remembering. Throughout history certain memory markers have been placed to recall specific places, people and circumstances. This is a part of our Judeo/Christian heritage. Throughout the Bible we find the importance of Memorial: 1. God commanded the children of Israel to observe the Sabbath (Ex. 20:8-10) 2. The rainbow is a memorial of the covenant God made with His people (Gen. 9:15-17) 3. Communion is a Memorial to the death and return of Jesus (1 Cor. 11:23-26) 4. Memorial to spark Curiosity (Josh. 4:1-7) 5. Remember the Kindness of God (Ps. 106:1-10) 6. Remember Lot’s Wife (Luke 17:20-33) 7. Remember Where Your Wealth comes From (Deut. 8:2,17-20) 8. Remember the Words of Jesus (Acts 20:32-38) 9. Remember Past Victories of God (1 Sam. 17:32-37) 10. Remember what God doesn’t Remember (Jer. 31:31-34, Heb. 8:12)
