Best Of: The High Priestly Prayer, Pt. 1

Mark Driscoll Audio show

Summary: With the cross approaching, Jesus pauses in John 17 to pray his longest prayer in all of the Scriptures. Therein, we are privileged to listen to the inner dialogue of the Trinity as God the Son speaks to God the Father through God the Holy Spirit. This prayer is packed with deep theological and practical implications for how we understand God's goodness and personhood, and (or "in light of") Jesus' eternality, mission, and resurrection. It also gives us insight into how to pray for perseverance in the midst of trial.
