Summary: On the cross, there was a divinely ordained exchange. Jesus took upon Himself the curses due to our disobedience and gave us in return the blessings earned by His obedience. Both curses and blessings cover three main areas—spiritual, physical, material. The decisive difference between receiving blessings or curses spiritually, physically, and materially is summed up in one phrase: “Listening to God’s voice.”
