Summary: Idealist aka Defective Units was born and raised in Zurich Switzerland. Already at a young age he had contact with Techno/House in the mid 90ies. Started djing and than tried to create his own sounds. In 2005 after a 5 year pause he got really inspired by the underground scene of his home city and is producing ever since. Though he always had a very dubby approach and did his own thing he got the chance to play live all over in clubs of Zurich. He released on known Dub Techno netlabels like Deepindub and Schall and also began to explore his more Acid and Deep House roots with his Defective Units project on Broque. First vinyl releases on labels like Tiefenrausch and Idealistmusic (his own imprint) followed and a compilation on Eintakt is coming out soon. Watch out for further releases...
