Summary: Bernard Haisch is an author and astrophysicist with more than 130 scientific publications. Bernard has served as a editor of the Astrophysical Journal for more than a decade and he has been an investigator on a number of NASA research projects. Haisch attended the Latin School of Indianapolis and the St. Meinrad Seminary as a student for the Catholic priesthood. Later, Haisch earned his Ph.D at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and did postdoctoral research at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Utecht, the Netherlands. He has been a Staff Scientist at the Lockheed Martin Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory; the Deputy Director of the Center for Extreme Ultraviolet Astrophysics at the University of California, Berkeley; and Visiting Scientist at the Max-Planck-Institut fuer Extraterrestrische Physik in Garching, Germany. He is the former editor in chief for the Journal of Scientific Exploration. Tonight, Bernard Haisch, the author of The God Theory: Universes, Zero-Point Fields, and What's Behind It All, joins us to discuss his new book: The Purpose-Guided Universe: Believing In Einstein, Darwin, and God.
