Summary: Professor G. Reginald Daniel teaches at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the areas of race and ethnic relations, comparative and historical sociology and comparative race and culture. His important published works include: Race and Multiraciality in Brazil and the United States: Converging Paths?, New Faces in a Changing America: Multiracial Identity in the 21st Century, and Racially Mixed People in America. We will also have a chance to discuss his latest article, "Race, Multiraciailty, and Barack Obama: Toward a More Perfect Union?" which was published in the most recent issue of Black Scholar.
