Summary: On the first two days of our Haute Route trip, Jeff and I make our way up from Chamonix to camp at Lac Blanc with great views of the Mont Blanc massif. The next morning, we head down to Tre Le Champ, over Col de Balme, through Le Peuty, over Col de Forclaz, through Bovine and to Champex just ahead of a snowstorm. We sit and watch as the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc heads into the growing storm
