RadioTalk: 30 years of The Bradshaws

RadioTalk from The Radio Academy show

Summary: This week, RadioTalk celebrates 30 years of The Bradshaws. Some have never liked it, others have never understood it but, for millions of fans, it’s been part of their radio listening for three decades. Created, written and voiced by Buzz Hawkins, it started life 30 years ago this month on Piccadilly Radio in Manchester on the Gary Davies show. Since then, it’s become a much-loved and well-known institution that is still on a number of local radio stations today. Hosted by John Myers, the podcast also includes a very special episode of The Bradshaws for your delight and, of course, David Lloyd’s Radio Moments. Enjoy! Next week, RadioTalk asks, “what’s new in radio?” *Please note, this podcast contains some old fashioned swear words!* The podcast was kindly recorded at Real Radio in Salford, thanks to Dave Brierley-Jones, with imaging from On The Sly.
