He led Informatica through its initial launch, its successful IPO in April of 1999, expansion into Europe and Asia, establishment of alliances with major technology players, and ultimately a broad acceptance of the vision he pioneered in the software industry by the time he left in 2004.<br> Prior to co-founding Informatica, Gaurav spent time at Sterling Software and at Unisys Corporation.<br> Gaurav has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Punjab University.<br>
