How To Cloak Affiliate Links

Summary: Hey, this is Mike from epicmarketer.com and today I'm gonna share with you a great free tool that's actually a plugin that you can use in order to create brandable links for your site as well as track visitors. Now the tool is called Pretty Link. They have a light version and a pro version. The light version is fine. What you can do is like for instance my site is epicmarketer.com if I wanted to have a webinar instead of having that long, ugly URL from gotowebinar I could put that into Pretty Link and create epicmarketer.com/webinar. Now one of the things that makes this a huge advantage is when you log into your WordPress dashboard you'll see your stats for Pretty Link and it'll tell you how many visitors you got for each one of these. So you can use Facebook1, Facebook2, or Facebook3 to check to see how many people are clicking on your ads using Pretty Link. This is a great great tool. Another thing you can do as far as using Pretty Link to your advantage is when it comes to sending out links, whether they're in twitter or whatever studies have shown that people don't click on links that they don't recognize. So like bit.ly or TinyURL, they don't know where they're going. It could be spammy, it could be whatever. When you have a link like epicmarketer.com/webinar people go "Ah! I know what that is. I'm gonna click on it and I'm gonna register". So in WordPress make sure you get your copy of Pretty Link the free plugin (the light version) ASAP and start using it with all of your promotions. It's a great way to track your results as well as to brand yourself, as well as to protect your affiliate links from affiliate theft.
