Summary: Potter-mania has struck the Horroretc podcast? Well not exactly, but we do dedicate the main segment of this week's show to the franchise that shall not be named with a look back at the books and films that captivated so many over these past 14 years. It's a four host round-table event this week with an extra-special guest that once said they would never appear on the show. Now we understand that Harry Potter is truly non-horror, and that it may be a subject of specific taste. With that in mind the format of our discussion is a pretty wide-open back and forth affair touching on what made the series such a mega-hit, how the legacy may hold up for generations to come, highlight moments, confusing plot elements and above all...the unbelievable odds against a cast of 11 year old children seeing an 8 film movie franchise through to fruition. We do not get too deep into the mythos but be aware that with an open-floor format comes the possibility of spoilers! We do offer some horror talk too with Anthony at last catching up with Rec and Rec 2. It's a return to the rage-virus Spanish nightmare as your hosts relive these found footage films.
