Summary:
As we know, there’s ongoing financial uncertainty going on around the world, and although we think of our economic crisis as a new thing, our guest today says different. Coggan has written a book called Paper Promises: Money, Debt and the New World Order. He joins us to talk about the history of debt and creditors and the crises they can create, and about patterns of debt accumulation throughout world history. Originally Aired 10/23/2012

Guest
Philip Coggan - Buttonwood Columnist of the Economist (London), and author of Paper Promises: Money, Debt and the New World Order.
