This episode I had the honor and privilege of interviewing the lovely Laura Gordon.  Laura is a world renowned wedding photographer based out of rural Virginia. She has been recognized by the top publications in the world.  The best part about Laura is that she is the kindest and down the earth creative I have had the opportunity to work with.  Not only is her knowledge endless but she is incredibly humble and grateful for where her career has taken her. In this episode we discuss inspiration, being a destination photographer, and of course film. 

I am so honored to have this beautiful, strong, and educated woman on the show today. Natalia Issa is a hair and makeup artist based out of Dallas, TX who will charm you in about two seconds flat.  Her outlook on life, business, and overall love is a breath of fresh.  Not only is she an incredibly talented artist but she also has the biggest heart for all animals. In this episode we go through Natalia's life and career and she tells how she has grown her brand by coming from the place of love and service. We discuss our hopes, dreams, and how to help the world on step at a time. We could all take some big lessons away from this episode. To be honest, this episode is the true morals and base of what Vero was created for.  Andrew Smith is a wedding photographer based in Ohio and we met at the Rising Tide Leaders retreat in 2016. Naturally we had to follow each other on social, so I was able to keep up with him through the years.  I came across a blog post he had written called "Broke AF" and took the time to give it a look.  After reading it, I knew I had to reach out to Andrew because I too was in a very similar state of mind and state of life. We discussed such great topics of what it is to be a wedding photographer today and the low low's you hit as well as the high high's.  I am so happy to say that after only one year Andrew has been wildly successful and taken on some big goals and achieved great things.  I hope this episode connects with those of you who are going through something similar as we were at the time and can take our advice and KEEP GOING! Sara Russell is one of the top editors in the wedding industry with her film publication, Wedding Sparrow. Sara is based in the UK but has a predominately American following. Her blog was born as she was planning her own wedding and realized there was a lack of inspiration in a certain esthetic. Sara was drawn to the classic look of film photography and knew that was where her niche would be in the big wedding industry. Sara has been a supporter of the Vero Workshop for quite sometime now and has attended two, Charleston and Cumberland Island.  In this episode we discuss the hot topics of the wedding industry, the start of Wedding Sparrow, and overall social media myths and truths. 

Welcome to the Vero Podcast! This has been a long, long time coming and I am dancing in my seat for y'all to finally here this incredible interview with the one and only, Stephen Wood. Stephen is a third generation family member of the Film Lab, Photovision. In this interview we go over not only the incredible history of this Oregon based film lab, but Stephen walks us through the timeline of film as a whole. We discuss major and controversial topics on film and why he feels photographer should think about converting. It's all about the workflow y'all! What I love most about this interview is you get to experience the level of expertise and knowledge that not only Stephen has but the Photovision as a whole. Their family has built a strong staff base who is truly concerned about making photographer's live better and easier. I can assure you, you will not find better customer care.
