Teammate photographers and guides Kate and Adam Rice are regulars with the Wild and Exposed crew. They have recently joined forces with a few of our colleagues in forming the non-profit educational entity “For the Love of Bears”.

Join us as we catch up with one another on Jason and Ron’s trip to the desert and the first TWO Wild and Exposed Workshops. “There’s never been a better time to be a nature photographer and the animals really need us to tell their stories,” says Carla Rhodes. Carla, who was a professional comedic ventriloquist, is largely self-taught and didn’t pick up her first digital camera until 2015.
Utah Photographer Dan Lindhardt has made a quick splash in the Western Wildlife community with his uncommon views of otherwise common subjects. If you see this father in the field you know that he is often accompanied by his primary photographic partner and daughter Kalla.
German Biologist and Conservationist Fabian Muhlberger travels the globe in order to spread his conservation message to his fellow countrymen through Terra X. From Africa to the Amazon Fabian seeks to educate all on the issues faced by as many species as possible.
When we initially asked that photographer Jamie Bollschweiler to join us for a Bonus Mother’s Day Episode we did so to share her artistic vision, passion for the craft and tenacity. What we didn’t know was that it was in fact the tragedy of losing her own mother that put a camera in Jamie’s hands.
Full time mother and part/full- time photographer Amy Harris comes by her IG handle honestly, @adventure.amy is her best representation. Whether you meet her on the trail or in a park she is out there when most are crashed on their couch. The ZOLEO - Don’t leave home without It
In this episode with NANPA's Dawn Wilson and Wild and Exposed's Ron Hayes and Jason Loftus, Marino explains that the hallmark of a happy photographer is the ability to see the world as an expansive place full of opportunities. Find out what she uses to capture the small scenes she's known for, how the pandemic helped her rethink a big career change, and why she discourages conventions and composition "rules" when she teaches photography. Plus, how her NANPA membership helped when a lens rolled down the hill into a waterfall and came out filled with silt.
Starting his photographic journey in the State of New Jersey, photographer Matthew Sullivan is well ahead of the curve. His knowledge of reptiles and amphibians caught the eye of the Wild and exposed crew but you will find, as Jason and Ron did, that there are much more than herps in this portfolio.
North Carolina Photographer Neil Jernigan started his journey as a portrait photographer who had a love of the outdoors. Come along as Jason and Ron visit with Neil about his transition into wildlife photography and finally into the craft that keeps working even when you’re not, camera trapping.
It’s been a minute since the full Wild and Exposed crew has been together. Ron, Jason, Michael and Mark discuss days in the field, pro-tips (some learned the hard way) and Mark’s latest Book project. This weeks episode may get a bit sappy as one of the crew makes a big announcement.
Conservation photographer Noppadol Paothong began photographing prairie chickens on an assignment for a daily newspaper in 2001. As he sat in a blind in the dark that morning, he had no idea that he’d be so captivated by the prairie chickens’ mating dance that he’d devote the next ten years to creating a book to tell their story.
Michael and Ron are joined by Editor Tracie Binkerd and Artistic Director/visual specialist Patrick Owen from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Wyoming Wildlife Magazine, the best deal in wildlife periodicals.
