Archangels of Justice Case Files

Summary: Archangels of Justice is a podcast that follows two experienced private investigators, as they look into different cases involving misclassified murders, law enforcement corruption, and the wrongfully imprisoned. Each series will take the listener on a journey through these complex cases and give the family's point of view along with law enforcement and crime scene experts. Investigators, Salvatore E. Rastrelli and Ira B. Robins review actual cases to identify the problems within the justice system and determine the cures. They seek to reverse the breakdown in public trust, alleviate the hostility on both sides, and reduce the number of senseless deaths. Both are former police officers and private investigators with more than 88 years combined investigative experience. It’s been easy for law enforcement to misclassify crimes like murders as suicides or robberies as thefts because of inept police work, to reduce their crime statistics, or to tip the scales to wrongfully convict someone they decide is guilty, or to protect one of their friends. They cover-up their own criminal conduct involving wrongful death and brutality by hiding facts and lying. Rastrelli and Robins have the courage to assist those who have had their civil rights trampled by corrupt police and prosecutors. They review cases submitted by victim’s families, find the ineptitude or misconduct, and reveal methods to alleviate the problems in order to effect change. Each series, will take the viewer on journey, as they will see both sides of the issue and the facts will be presented in way that ultimately the viewer has to decide what they believe. Our hope is that this will lead to a serious public conversation about the training and responsibilities of our Law Enforcement. The Archangels of Justice are will lead this conversation to make sure Law Enforcement and Courts answer for their mistakes.

Preview of AoJ Weekly #1 – Guardianship Abuse Preview Episode of New Podcast from Archangels of Justice | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:00:10

In the first episode, the Archangels of Justice speak with Marcia Southwick from the NASGA about guardianship abuse. We begin by talking about the basics of guardianship, where it came from and how the law has been misused, misapplied, or manipulated. We look at the people who are most at risk for abuse and how to prevent this from happening to you or someone you love. We asked Marcia a few questions about about the tricks guardianship companies use to get the elderly to sign over their rights (https://stopguardianabuse.org/10-dirty-tricks/). Marcia, Sal and Ira share some stories about the people they have helped throughout the years and everything they had to go through even though their clients where in the right. This is a problem in every state and can effect every single person in the United States. Next we talk about NASGA (National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse) and their mission: * To protect the civil/human rights – life, liberty and property – of vulnerable persons described as “incompetent” and made wards of the state in unlawful and abusive guardianships and conservatorships; * To end financial exploitation of their wards’ assets by court-appointed fiduciaries* who, instead of conserving their wards’ assets as required by law, force previously financially able wards onto Medicaid at Taxpayer expense; * To be a support organization for families battling court-appointed “protectors” who permit due process and other violations of law to occur, including physical and mental abuse and isolation; and * To obtain reform – through outreach, education and advocacy – by meaningful amendment of existing statutes and increased penalties against violations of law.  AoJ Case Files Update and New Weekly Show Preview Update and Weekly Show Preview | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 57:09

Archangels of Justice wanted to give a little update on where we are with our new season and also a preview from our new weekly show. It has been an exciting time over these last few months and we cannot thank you enough for all the support we received during our first season of the podcast. We are currently working on the episodes for our new season which will be about the Leonard Peltier case. Leonard is a Native American Activist who is currently serving two consecutive life sentences for the murders of FBI agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams in 1975. TOPICS FROM ARCHANGELS OF JUSTICE WEEKLY PREVIEW SHOW Exploitation of Elderly Physical abuse against a senior citizen entails any use of physical force likely to result in injury, physical pain or impairment. Common forms of physical abuse include hitting, striking, beating, pushing, shaking, pinching, kicking, slapping and burning. Other examples of abuse applicable to elderly individuals are force-feeding; excessive use of physical restraints or drugs, if used inappropriately; and holding someone against their will, referred to as false arrest. Emotional and/or psychological abuse typically is defined as an act that causes emotional pain, distress or anguish. Common forms of emotional/psychological abuse include verbal assaults, intimidation, humiliation, threats, insults, harassment and treating senior citizens like children. Any non-consensual sexual contact with an elderly person is considered sexual abuse. Additionally, sexual contact with an elderly person who is incapable of giving consent or who is too confused to fully understand what is happening also is sexual abuse. Common forms of sexual abuse include unwanted touching, sexually explicit photographing, forced nudity, and all types of sexual assault and battery (such as rape and molestation). Abandonment occurs when a designated caretaker or legal guardian leaves an elder person to fend for him or herself. While it includes elements of neglect, abandonment is the total desertion of an elderly person. Common examples of abandonment include leaving an unsuspecting victim at a nursing home or shopping mall, or otherwise turning one’s back on his or her supposed responsibilities to care for the victim. Exploitation of Children with Learning Disabilities Children with learning disabilities are more vulnerable to sexual exploitation than other children, and face additional barriers to protection and receiving support, according to a new report Types of Exploitation * Physical Abuse * Sexual Abuse * Neglect * Emotional Maltreatment Child Custody Cases Physical abuse of child goes uncharged many times and DCF is not doing their job Wrongful Convictions The U.S., which leads the world in incarceration of its citizens, has approximately 2 million people behind bars. That means a wrongful conviction rate of 1 percent would translate to 20,000 people punished for crimes they didn’t commit. On death row, 1 in 25 are likely innocent, according to a recent study. Unfair Sentencing between public and police for similar crimes If a police officer unlawfully harms a citizen, the officer is subject to assault or homicide charges—no different than if the officer committed these crimes off duty. However, if a citizen unlawfully harms a police officer, the citizen is automatically subject to aggravated assault or aggravated homicide charges, which carry more severe punishment.  In fact, some states make the intentional killing of an on-duty officer a capital offense. Enhanced charges in police encounters are thus asymmetrical. They only apply if a citizen harms an officer but not if an officer harms a citizen. * Police Shootings * Since 2005 only 77 police officers have been charged with murder and of that only 26 were convicted.

 Sheena Morris Ep 8 – A New Chapter Begins | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:05:57

In the last episode of this series, we will be joined by few different people in Sheena’s life. We will also talk about our theories of what we think happened that morning and update our listeners on where the case is today. As we close the Sheena Morris case, we wanted to bring in some other people in Sheena’s life, including one of her good friends, Kelly Holland, her step-father, Kevin Osborn and her step-mother, Lisa Lane. I will also have Sheena’s mother, Kelly Osborn and our two Archangels, Sal and Ira, who will talk about what they think happened that morning and their final thoughts on the case. After sharing stories about Sheena, we read a statement from Sheena’s father, Dave Morris and Sheena’s mother, Kelly Osborn. Then we will give an update about all the people involved with this case and how the FDLE continues to cover up inept police work. This is not only happening in Florida but across the country. Subscribe today and never miss an episode of the Archangels of Justice Case Files!

Sheena Morris Ep 7 – The Archangels Affidavit | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 58:53

In the penultimate episode of this case, we will be discussing the Archangels of Justice federally filed affidavit, then provide the evidence that representatives of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Florida State Attorney deliberately worked in concert to ignore and cover-up the criminal conduct of police officers and the inept investigation of detectives during the reexamination of the death of Sheena Morris. In fact, their conduct was designed to misdirect the entire purpose of the reexamination. Their criminal acts of conspiracy, filing of false official reports, and obstruction of justice have violated the Civil Rights of Sheena Morris, Kelly and David Morris, her family, and offend anyone who believes in truth and justice. These law enforcement officials must be dealt with harshly and according to law, otherwise they will continue to get away with these criminal actions. We will also be discussing the options for Sheena’s family as they continue to move forward to seek justice in this case. Whether these officials would be found guilty in a civil or criminal trial and how that case would play put in the court room. Finally, we will look at the reasons why this case was not investigated properly in the first place. Subscribe today and never miss an episode!

Sheena Morris Ep 6 – The FDLE Investigation Pt II | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:57:04

It has been over 4 years since Sheena died and finally a Florida Law Enforcement agency interviews the main suspect, Joe Genoese. We will we listen to the main suspect in his first and only official interview by Art Brown and the FDLE. Listen as we show multiple times, the FDLE could have questioned Genoese about previous acts against Sheena but choose not to do it. We also look at the difference in statements made by other witnesses at the New Year’s Eve party. What Genoese says happened and what the witnesses saw does not match up. Finally, we look at the investigative techniques the FDLE and BBPD used to come to their conclusion of suicide, but also, show how they ignored hard evidence in their quest to prove suicide. We look extensively at the things said in the report but also language used to describe Sheena Morris. The FDLE report talks about the public misconceptions but uses little hard evidence to confirm or deny any of them. Listen and you will understand how the FDLE and BBPD went about covering up this case and allowing a murderer to walk free. Subscribe today and stay up to date with the newest episodes!

 Sheena Morris Ep 5 – The FDLE Investigation Pt I | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:11:39

We examine the official findings from the FDLE in the death of Sheena Morris. This report was submitted in the wake of the national attention Sheena’s case received. It picks up on Oct 31, 2013; it has been a year since the Dr. Phil Show aired Sheena’s episode and Genoese’s failed polygraph test was seen on national television. We give the full record directly from the FDLE report. The Archangels of Justice will show how both the FDLE and BBPD ignored evidence based on their own statements in the report. Also, the FDLE clearly ignores violations of police protocol by BBPD, conveniently picking and choosing their words. When you listen to this episode understand that the victim here is Sheena Morris not Joe Genoese and the BBPD. After listening you will understand why the family is so angry with what is said in this report. Subscribe today!

Sheena Morris Ep 4 – The Dr. Phil Show | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 1:00:52

Finally, Sheena Morris gets the investigation she deserves by a local reporter, Lee Williams. His findings lead to national exposure for Sheena and is even featured on “The Dr. Phil Show”. We talk about the events that lead to this appearance, including the march Sheena’s family organized in New York and Florida. The family’s meeting with the Bradenton Beach Mayor and the pushback they got form the Bradenton Beach Police Chief Sam Speciale. When Lee Williams article hits the internet everything changes and the FDLE reopens the case. Sheena’s mother and father confront Genoese on “The Dr. Phil Show” and he is confronted with times he was physical in his past relationships. Then the family learns the results of the polygraph test he took earlier with world renown polygraphist, Jack Trimarco. After he is confronted by this test, he argues that the results are rigged and wants to take another. The Bradenton Beach police could care less about the results but the FDLE reopens the case and there is hope for Sheena’s family. Subscribe today!

 Sheena Morris Ep 3 – A Family’s Fight Begins - Archangels of Justice Case Files | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 51:45

In the days after Sheena’s death, Joe Genoese leaves her family with more questions than answers. Sheena’s family begins packing up her apartment and Genoese continually making it harder for the family to coup with her death. Genoese leaves Kelly and her husband with Sheena’s car payment after agreeing to pay for the car. Sheena’s family will not give up and push Diaz to finally interview Genoese about all the inconstancies with his story. Then Sheena’s family takes the investigation into their own hands and has Sheena’s body exhumed for a 2nd autopsy. When the 2nd autopsy is preformed it is discovered that Sheena’s hyoid bone and that is was kept by Sarasota Medical Examiner’s office because they thought there was something strange with the death. On March 22nd 2012 Sheena’s death certificate was officially changed and the manner of death now reads “undetermined”. Instead of reopening the case the Bradenton Beach Police and Det. Diaz argue with the Medical Examiner about her findings. Sheena family is about to give up when they are contacted by producers from the Dr. Phil Show. Subscribe today!
