Our 3rd week back with our new program is now in the books! The dogs continue to thrive under this new structure. Next week we will be back at full strength when Renae returns.
Picking the right rescue dog can be quite the task but there are certain things to keep in mind when doing so. There are also things that you shouldn't do.....it's a big decision either way you look at it. Courtesy 93.9 WLVB
We are seeing HUGE differences in the dogs since our daycare program change. It's amazing how well all the dogs work with each other, and everything we do, we do together. Listen in to how Matt started giving lessons on his own this week.
Dogs can be seen as unpredictable, but if we aren't predictable in how we train them, work with them, and interact with them, how can we expect them to be predictable to us? Courtesy 93.9 WLVB
Well our first week has concluded with our new program. Myself and my staff are loving how much we are working with the dogs on a more personal level. The dogs are getting fulfilled more than ever and I couldn't be more proud of the work we are getting done here. Listen in as one of my assistant trainers Matt Bettis joins me.
I've taken the time during quarantine to do my homework and develop a new structure for our daycare. Listen to this and let me know what you think!
Springtime for dogs means flea & tick medicine, hiking, and spending more time outside. But there is also a change in energy in the dogs too! Courtesy 93.9 WLVB
Robin and George are old friends and it was wonderful to chat with the both of them at the same time. We talked about how they met, the hardest part of being a dog trainer, and what we are all currently doing during quarantine.
This is the 300th episode of the podcast and I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate than to have Cheri join me. Her presence, her ability to train dogs, and her quest to help women while still rescuing dogs is the reason why so many look up to her. If you are looking for a strong female presence, look no further.
Just a Quickie to let you all know what's going on in my world. Be sure to listen on Wednesday as it's episode 300 of the podcast!!!!!!
Wait until you hear about the fun Ashlea had with a bloodhound growing up. I think it's fair to say that Ashlea had tons of exposure to dogs growing up even before she started charging money for training. And then we talked about rattlesnakes, YIKES!
In every family I work with there tends to be a source of affection and a source of discipline for the dog. But did you know I've never seen 2 partners treat the dog exactly the same? So why should the dog treat each person the same? Courtesy 93.9 WLVB
Duke and I have been back and forth trying to schedule this episode for quite some time. I had a great time listening to his story of how he got started. Plus, you will want to hear about a new program he is offering.
I had a great conversation with Sean, he is a fellow podcaster and trainer that has over 20 years of experience. We went deeper than normal into a situation I had with my dog Jemma and this will no doubt help dog owners everywhere!
This subject may sound simple, but a wrong move can cause major problems with your dog. Take a listen to what I think about dog dishes! Courtesy 93.9 WLVB
