Pat Brennan owner and head brewer of Rivermen Brewing joins us this week to talk about being Belmont, NC’s first brewery. We also get into his new spot just a few blocks outside of Downtown Belmont that he plans to open sometime this summer. Going from a 2 bbl system to a 10 bbl system he’ll be ready to start to distribute his beers to the Charlotte area by the end of the summer. He’s been a favorite in Belmont for some time now and he’s ready to bring his beers to Charlotte to see how they stack up against the big boys like Birdsong, Noda & Triple C.
General Manager Matt Coben and his son Josh Coben running the kitchen have opened Growler USA in the Ballantyne area. The first of its kind for the Growler USA concept they boast over 100 taps with a twist on bar food. With drink specials and different events throughout the week it has quickly become a destination for craft beer enthusiasts in Ballantyne. Cannizzaro Sauces - Andy and Melanie Tritten join us to talk about their homemade sauces made here in Charlotte, NC. Melanie says she never liked her mom's sauces so she decided to make her own version. They make some of the best sauce around out of a local restaurant's kitchen. Be on the lookout for the sauce at local stores and farmers markets.
