Crossfaded Sessions

When I was asked to DJ at my friend's wedding in Mt. Shasta, I didn't expect to play for over three hours! Fortunately, I had just loaded up on a bunch of fresh deep house and tech house tracks - enough to support a marathon wedding dance party. I had a blast laying down this set for my closest friends and hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I do!

This set was recorded live at The Sidecar during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. In addition to being my first time at Sundance, this experience marked a long-overdue reunion with Boyd and Kacie from Bassic Elements, the drum and bass collective that I helped found in Santa Cruz in 1999. All told, my weekend in Park City was an unforgettable one, and I'm already counting down the days until next year's festival.

This podcast marks my return to San Francisco after nine months of unforgettable honeymoon travel and nearly three months of trial living in Los Angeles. This is also the first mix produced on a brand new MacBook Pro running the upgraded version of Traktor Pro 2. Having been Macless for over a year due to travel and expenses it feels great to have my complete system up and running again!

This month's podcast commemorates my wedding anniversary on May Day, 2010. I recorded this mix as a practice set in preparation for throwing down at my wedding's after party...oh and what a party it was!
