An organisation which represents retailers in Northern Ireland has told the Nolan show retailers and shoppers will be squeezed by a decision to double the plastic bag tax. The Northern Ireland Retail Consortium says Stormont should be helping retailers instead of putting up barriers. Environment Minister, Alex Attwood, has outlined proposals to extend the current carrier bag levy to a wider variety of bags. The Minister is seeking for the levy to be extended to low cost reusable bags. He says he wants to stop low cost reusable bags becoming 'throw-away bags', littering the environment. The Minister also intends to increase the levy on both single use and multi use low cost carrier bags to 10p next April. The increase was expected but where will it stop?

'Men's Health Week' started on Monday. Men's project 'Man Matters' are urging everyone to do their bit to improve the health and well-being of local men and boys. One big issue is testicular cancer. Do you check yourself and would you even know how to? Dr Colum Farrelly came into the Nolan Studio earlier and our own Vinny bravely put himself up for the inspection. And have you been watching new BBC NI drama The Fall? The five part series came to a dramatic end this week. It stars former X Files actress Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson who is brought in from the London Met to help catch a killer when a murder in Belfast remains unsolved. It's been getting rave reviews but not from everyone.

"Tattoos are the definition of an under achiever", that's what Katie Hopkins told Stephen on his 5 Live show over the weekend. The commentator and entrepreneur was talking after a woman lost her job because of her tattoos. Mum of three Joanne Stronach was sacked from her job at Wetherells department store in Selby in North Yorkshire after customers complained about the tattoos on her arms. Bosses say her personal appearance was unsuitable for the job. So should tattoos ever make a person unsuitable for employment? Or are they the very definition of an 'under-achiever'?

Newtownabbey's Leah McFall and Tyrone's Andrea Begley both made the semi finals of the BBC's hit talent show.
