S0342 Onesimus is a slave that has stolen from his master and run off. He ends up in Rome and by the grace of God - the Apostle Paul leads him to the saving knowledge of Jesus Chris. Paul then become his advocate: writing to his owner Philemon, to ask for Onesimes' forgiveness. History has it that Philemon forgave Onesimus and Onesimus went on to become a Bishop at the church in Ephesus. The name "Onemisus" means "profitable". Indeed, after Jesus, Onesimus became profitable. Many of us could make the same claim after asking Jesus into our hearts.
