Last week at the Berliner CSD, Judith Butler refused to accept the "Civil Courage Medal" from the German government. Her statement is still being digested by the queer community. This is Gloria Viagra talking at the Transgenialer CSD about what happened.

I think the Siegessäule says it best: "Der Transgeniale CSD am 26. Juni startet diesmal am Rathaus Neukölln und führt zum Kreuzberger Heinrichplatz. Unter dem Motto „Gewaltige Zeiten, gewaltiger queerer Widerstand!“ Einer der viel zitierten Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Berliner CSDs ist, dass sich der Transgeniale gegen jeden Kommerzgedanken ausspricht. Außerdem, auch das wird im Umfeld des TCSD immer wieder betont, stünden hier politische Forderungen klar im Vordergrund. Kristo Behr vom Orga-Team nennt die aktuellen Themen: „Noch immer sind Menschen, die anders geboren werden, anders aussehen, anders denken oder sich anders definieren von homophober und transphober Gewalt betroffen, sei diese nun physisch oder psychisch. Gewaltigen Zeiten sehen wir auch auf einem Arbeits- und Wohnungsmarkt entgegen, auf dem Profitstreben regiert und jedwede Art von Kündigungsschutz, Mindestlohn oder sozialem Mietpreis als Sozialklimbim abgewickelt wird!“ Daher müssten „die Zyniker in den Führungsetagen auch mit unserem gewaltigen queeren Widerstand rechnen!“
