Hosts

Brenda Gonzalez

Founder & Co-Host

Brenda Gonzalez is a political nerd, fitness instructor, and nonprofit capacity-builder, focusing on social justice nonprofits. In response to negative rhetoric about the Latine community in political discourse, Brenda founded Tamarindo in 2016 with the mission to use comedy and laughter to illuminate important issues impacting the community.

Brenda’s experience as a formerly undocumented student shaped her interest in politics and she taught American Government at Cal State Fullerton before she was even eligible to vote. She brings her passion for politics to Tamarindo often in the form of comical rants. Born in Puebla, Mexico, Brenda lives in Los Angeles.

Delsy Sandoval

Co-Host & Co-Executive Producer

Delsy Sandoval is a Guatemalan-American licensed therapist, visual artist, and a passionate advocate for creativity. In 2023, Delsy co-founded “Encuentro:Creative Retreat” along with Brenda. She is also the founder of the breakthrough Ocu-Pasión Podcast featuring Latin American artists and visionaries. Originally from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, Delsy has dedicated her career to serving Latin American communities across the country, focusing on social services, community building, and mental health programming.

Delsy’s ultimate goal is to merge mental health support with the expressive power of art for healing. Her enthusiasm for storytelling and her curiosity about the art of creation continue to drive her forward, shaping her exciting journey ahead.

Ana Sheila Victorino

Co-host (2019-2023), contributor

Ana Sheila Victorino is a queer Mexican-born wellness entrepreneur. She is the co-founder of Bask and Being, a workplace wellness company that believes human and employee well-being should be at the center of how businesses and organizations do business and life.

With a background in technology, a health injury was the catalyst for a pivot in her career. She left the corporate world to pursue projects that help folks experience more health, liberation, career, and personal fulfillment. As part of that mission, she’s also co-led Launch Latinx, a holistic coaching and self-development program for Latinx entrepreneurs and creatives.

Ana Sheila elevated Tamarindo to include more conversations on well-being and personal development.
