Summary: <p>In this episode, Rasa interviews family medicine physician Dr. Samantha Peterson who was inspired by what she saw on the frontlines of the pandemic to pursue an additional residency and fellowship in infectious disease.</p> <p>Dr. Samantha Peterson is currently an internal medicine resident at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, where she also completed her family medicine training. She finished her undergraduate training at University of Wisconsin-Madison and went to medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to her passion for infectious disease that was potentiated while working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, she also enjoys practicing osteopathic manipulative medicine and LGBTQ+ aspects of medicine.
