Steve has coached seven athletes top Top-15 finishes at a World Championship, twelve athletes to births on the World Championship or Olympic teams, and guided over twenty-five Olympic Trials Qualifiers. Recently, he helped guide Roberta Groner, a 41-year old full-time nurse, to 6th place at the 2019 World Championships in the marathon. He has worked with professional sports teams and individual athletes on mental skills and toughness, including some of the top professional teams in sport. Steve was a columnist for Running Times magazine and has also had his writing appear in Runner’s World, Wired, Outside, Sports Illustrated, and NY Mag.
