Summary: God tells Jonah to preach salvation to his enemy. So Jonah does the only sensible thing; he heads in the opposite direction! Jonah tried to thwart God’s will by doing the opposite of what he was asked. Color, race, education, nationality, religion or “side” of Catholicism or Christianity, sexual preference, politician or political party, social justice issue, ISIS, immigrants, Panthers or Broncos, gun control advocates or pro-lifers, someone else?<br> How are you called to serve them?<br> T | Thomistic – Can a whale really swallow a person, and could that person survive? What does that tell you about biblical genres and the purpose of Jonah's story?<br> V - Verbalize (Pray about your thoughts and emotions.)<br> Remembering that He loves you and that you are in His presence, talk to God about the particulars of your O – Observe step.
