Summary: <p>In what was heralded as a ground breaking move for the discipline, the 2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships were staged in the grounds of a museum in the Danish town of Aarhus.</p> <p>With mud, water, sand and a horde of Vikings this was billed as a new era for the historic Cross Country Championship which had seen declining interest, particularly in Europe in recent years.</p> <p>DTT’s roving reporter Lisa Verstraten was on hand in Aarhus to provide a number of pre and post races interviews with Team Australia, capturing the nerves, anticipation, excitement and elation of the event.</p> <p>DTT also gives the inside scoop on the initial planning phase for the next World Cross Country – Bathurst 2021.
