DLite's Essential EDX

The DLite House Music Podcast show

Summary: EDX has been one of my favourite DJs/Producers for as long as I can remember. This might sound a bit strange but I’m not exactly sure why he’s been a favourite. I think it’s because he’s not the biggest name, the flashiest artist, the biggest selling DJ or the most outspoken. I admire that he just does his job in the background and excels at it. His sound is unique. It covers so many genres it's tough to pin down just one. It's a solid helping of deep house, progressive, proper house, chill, and vocal house music. Although most of his music is around 128bpm he still manages to take it to deep, funky, moving, nostalgic, and sometimes dark places. He has a signature but understated bass line that somehow alternates between getting you moving and taking you to a peaceful place – and sometimes doing both. In this Essential EDX mix I’ve included my favourite EDX tracks but more importantly my favourite EDX remixes because that’s where his best work is. As you can see from the track listing he’s worked with and supported some of the biggest names in dance music in the past decade. Enjoy this sampling of EDX!
