It’s you longing for an imaginary past that never existed.<br> Oh boy, when you’re dead, you don’t take nothing with you but your soul – John Lennon<br> There’s a running gag in my family that is built around my grandfather driving off to heaven in his 1970’s Gold Mercury Montego, all of his belongings packed in the trunk, shouting “Who says you can’t take it with you!” as he disappears into the sky.<br> Social media makes it easy to reconnect with people and relationships in our past. Sometimes that can be a good thing. Sometimes, though, it can be awful. You’re not the same person you were 10, 20, 30 years ago and neither are they.
