Irma's Boyfriend, Al, Played by John Brown, has more get rich quick schemes than Don Lapre. He also refers to Irma by the pet name, Chicken. The Radio Series ran from 1947-1954. There were also 2 feature films, My Friend Irma, in 1949 which also featured Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, and My friend Irma Goes West in 1950.
