They provided much of the music for the show, but in 1944 when Red Skelton was drafted, Ozzie Nelson was prompted to create his own family sitcom, the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. The show launched in October 8, 1944 and Aired through June 1954. There was a feature film which came out in 1952 called “Here Come the Nelsons”.
