WHITNEY ROSE is a special guest on the show as requested by Raul Malo himself, who produced her new album Heartbreaker of the Year. Whitney, a powerful Canadian artist, first met the Mavericks when she was booked to open for them in Toronto, and they were suitably impressed enough to ask her to join them for their entire 2014 cross-Canada tour.
