Summary: Lama Chonyi is ordained in the Ngakpang tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and is a social work professor at the University of Wisconsin. She is a nationally recognized gerontology researcher, scholar, and educator and as a Fellow of The Center of Contemplative Mind in Society she developed curriculum highlighting the importance of mindfulness for compassionate and ethically based social action, therapeutic intervention, and professional self care.
