249 Podcast Answer Man – Taking Yourself To The Next Level And So Much More!

The Cliff Ravenscraft Show - Mindset Answer Man show

Summary: What Does This Have To Do With Podcasting? The first 11 minutes of this episode may seem to have very little to do with the world of podcasting and taking your show to the next level. However, by the end of that 11 minutes, I hope that I will have convinced you otherwise. Random Plug of The Week This week's random plug of the week goes out to the This Is Your Life Podcast from Michael Hyatt. This is a weekly podcast dedicated to intentional leadership. The goal is to help you live with more passion, work with greater focus, and lead with extraordinary influence. I am certainly subscribed! During Michael's first episode, he shared 10 ways to generate more blog traffic. I went through his list and explained how you could apply these items to generating more exposure for your audio podcast. If you take some time to check out his podcast, please let him know that you heard about it from The Podcast Answer Man. When The Right People Notice Many of you will recognize the following quote that I often share from Jason Fried's book "REWORK." That last part says "You have to do it for a LONG TIME before the RIGHT PEOPLE notice. After about 4 years into building my brand, people like Dan Miller began to take notice of my brand and began to tell others about me and the products and services that I offer. Michael is another example of one of those "right people" that noticed! He has one of the most popular blogs in the eyes of those who are within my direct target audience. Michael has well over 188 THOUSAND subscribers to his blog! Keep that in mind as you read what he wrote at the following link: http://michaelhyatt.com/7-steps-to-launching-your-next-big-project.html The blog post is having immediate impact. I've seen a significant amount of traffic, already, from this exposure! I can only imagine, at this point, what all will come from this! One thing is for sure! Well over one hundred thousand new people have heard or are about to hear about me for the very first time, and from someone they greatly trust. I am so incredibly thankful for the glowing endorsement that Michael gave of my products and services. How Do You Keep The Content Flowing? Tom called in to ask how we, as podcasters, can be sure that we'll be able to consistently bring a steady flow of valuable content to our audience. I shared my thoughts on podcasting about things for which you are sincerely passionate about. I also shared how and why I decided to end the Virtual Assistant Podcast when I did. Special thanks to Chris Bockay, Mark Mason, Bill Graff, Dave Stachowiak, Wade Wingler, and Rich Berning, members of The Podcast Mastermind, for sharing some tips on how they are able to keep a steady flow of valuable content flowing. iPhone Mix Minus Wade asked a question that has not been asked in quite some time. He wanted to know if it was possible to use his iPhone to set up a mix-minus with his mixer to record phone interviews. I covered this topic way back in episode 176. Click Here to listen to that episode and to see the diagram that I included in the show notes. Free RSS to Email Solution Debra called in because she noticed that Feedburner seems to have dropped its "subscribe via email" option. She wanted to know if there were another free solution to allow folks to subscribe to her rss feed via email. I shared that she could check out MailChimp's RSS to Email Service. However, I strongly encourage her and everyone to READ THIS POST before you are enticed by the "FREE" option to start any mailing list. Blue Host Affiliate Signup I want to send out a special word of thanks to the folks behind the following domains that were used to create a new hosting account with BlueHost with my Blue Host affiliate link this past week. As you know, I earn a commission each time someone clicks through my link to sign up with Blue Host. So thank you! Accounts that were created this week:
