What Attracts Black Men To Militant Groups?

Summary: Tonight we will explore the intense attraction that an ever growing number of Black Men have in groups that the so called mainstream population consider somewhat radical. We are speaking of groups like the Black Muslims, the Hebrew Israelites, the Nuwabians as well as many other groups that either stand on a particular political or spiritual base that deals specifically with the Black community and their solutions to the problems and special needs therein. Are these groups bad for Black Men or are they filling an overlooked need that the American society and institutions have failed to overlook? Is there a danger to the fiery doctrine and unpopular views that are expressed that appear to be in direct opposition into what Black Men are taught coming up in a system that has thus far failed to address our issues completely? Is there a potential for some followers to take these various doctrines taught under the tutelage of these Black movement group leaders out of context and into some fanatical mentality that will eventually bring them into breaking the law or unfortunately hurting someone who disagrees?
