Episode-1162- Women of Prepping Series Episode 6

The Survival Podcast show

Summary: TweetThe real image of a “prepper family”, not what the TV tells us is it? Nicole H. is a Weston A. Price chapter leader and a wanna-be-homesteader. She makes kombucha, kefir, yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream, granola, all bread products, custard, cakes, pies, sauces, etc.. She personally finds it easy to have one year’s worth of food (except fresh things like veggies, eggs, milk, meat, etc) on hand at all times because of the way she cooks. Nichole’s family is planning a move to a homestead/farmette where they will have their own chickens, bees, cows and other animals in the future. Currently they purchase these products (meat, milk, eggs, honey, etc.) from an Amish farmer through a co-op that delivers to their home, which means they very rarely need to go to the store. Her family is also planning to build a permaculture food forest on their new land once they move. Nicole joins us as the 6th batter up in our prepping from the female perspective series, with some nutrition thrown in.  We also discuss how a vision for “prepping” took she and her husband from an adversarial relationship about money to being totally united about finances.
