This weeks movie is the 1991 psychological thriller The Silence Of The Lambs starring Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins and Ted Levine adapted from the novel by Timothy Harris. Sylvia picked this at an ideal time as the film just saw it's 30 year anniversary. Listen for our opinions on whether or not The Silence Of The Lambs still holds up.
Bobs pick this week is the Brittish / American heist comedy A Fish Called Wanda. Jamie Lee Curtis, John Cleese and Kevin Kline give award winning performances in this film written by John Cleese. A gang of diamond thieves successfully pull off their heist and the hijinks ensue after the robbery with deception, adultery, and murder. This gem deserves a revisit if it's been awhile and if you haven't seen it please watch before listening. Sylvias pick this week was 2001's A Knights Tale.
Sylvia's pick this week is the 1990 Gothic fantasy Edward Scissorhands. This deliciously Burton movie was a treat to revisit and a great film to start are return from the year that shall not be named.
Episode 39: The Fifth Element 1997
Episode 38: DecktheHalls 2006
This weeks pick was mine and I found a way to just do a Stallone movie! Oscar is a rare Stallone comedy Although it tends to throw alot at the wall and not a whole lot sticks, It's still an ambitous throwback to the 3 Stooges days with a star studded cast GOING FOR IT! This episode devolves pretty quickly towards the end with a fun story from acting class. This one is for sure not for the childrens.
Dustins pick this week was Con Air. It is amazing, but you knew that.
Sylvia again pushes the bar with how far back we will go with these reviews bringing us back to the nifty 50s With William Castles House on Haunted Hill starring Vincent Price. Spoiler alert it holds up.
Bobs pick this week was Beetlejuice. What a perfectly paced movie and a testament to the genius of style between Tim Burton and Danny Elfman for this to be just their second outing in feature films. We loved this one and thats pretty obvious. I think I confuse Jeffrey Jones and Michael Mckeen in this but oh well pobodys nerfect. love you all thanks for subscribing and telling a friend.
Today was a bonus Halloween episode with Friend of the show Macho. His pick was House Of The Dead. We watched it together and hit record right after the credits. I had never seen this movie which was probably for the best.
Our first October episode had to bring the Halloween heat. Pumpkinhead seemed like the perfect choice with Stan Winstons brilliant monster design mixed with the gravitas of Lance henricksons Ed Harley. Enjoy the episode and have a great Halloween
Sylvia's pick this week was the 1990 sci-fi adventure Total Recall starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone, Michael Ironside. This movie is awesome but the show takes a turn when pug eyes are brought up. well you'll see I guess
Sylvias pick was the 1986 comedy farce Ruthless People Starring Bette Midler, Danny Devito, Helen Slater and the honorable Judge Reinhold.
This weeks pick was a favorite from Dustins childhood. Enjoy.
