Living the dream with fiction author Juliet Rose | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 822

By the time she was ten years old Juliet Rose knew she wanted to be a writer. She entertained neighborhood kids with her stories after school and with the support of her mother got her first typewriter. Life had other plans and after the death of her mother when Juliet was eleven she put those dreams on hold. Over the decades she has picked up the proverbial pen time and again, writing about her life experiences including the cancer diagnosis and subsequent passing of her four year old daughter. Focusing on fiction currently, she is driven to bring to life characters from many walks of life and the struggles faced in modern society. Her writing style is open and fluid, giving the characters the ability to shine as the truth of their own story. Her works are honest and sometimes brutally painful but in the end her characters are given the voice which needs to be heard. Juliet is a New York native living in the mountains of Georgia. She has lived all over the United States and Mexico and doesn’t plan to stop seeing the world beyond her front door step. She spends her time rescuing animals, painting and writing. Her dream is to get an RV to explore hidden gems and find the best vegan restaurants. She has a unique voice and is a published author of two novels with two more due out in 2022. Juliet blends social issues into her fiction writing in the hopes of opening different perspectives.Check out Juliet’s website at

Living the dream with award winning author and Christian mystic Margaret Agard | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 869

Margaret Agard is an award-winning author, former executive in the high tech industry and mother of eight children, step-mother to seven (they were never all at home at the same time!) She is a Christian mystic and Reiki Level II Healer. She is currently writing her third memoir titled Love: Becoming One with Parker, from her house next to a lake in Florida– viewing lake, not swimming lake because, well, alligators. Former executive in the high tech industry, author, speaker, Christian mystic and reiki healer. Margaret focuses on helping others change their lives and finding true purpose by turning their to-do lists over to God (higher power/spirit/inner voice.) Her story appeals to many who have more to do than time to do it in, and want to live their best life. At the time she started this practice she was a single mother of eight, working full time as the sole financial support for her family, and had returned to university full time to finish the last few credits for her bachelors degree in mathematics. She slept less than four hours a night and often woke in a panic worrying about what wasn't getting done. Her previous practice of prioritizing and focusing on the "most important" tasks wasn't working. After turning her to-do list over to God she "got more done, more sleep, and had less stress." Her story inspires others to do the same. From podcast hosts: " great guest! She is funny, has great insight and flows with the conversation." And this from Our Spiritual Life podcast notes: "I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. She is the first guest I’ve had on the podcast who is a Christian writer, and I was a bit uncertain how it would go since so many Christians are very rigid in their beliefs. But Margaret is a self-described “Christian mystic”, meaning that she is willing to explore spirituality and seeks to experience God directly rather than just know about God and the Bible. (That is the key difference between being spiritual versus religious.) In fact, she has had many direct experiences of God that started when she “began giving her daily to-do list to God”."

Brianna was diagnosed with Osteopetrosis at the age of 2. Osteopetrosis, which literally means “stone bone“, is a disorder that causes an individual's bones to be so weak and frail that simply bumping into an object will cause their bones to break.Autosomal recessive osteopetrosis (ARO), the type of osteopetrosis with which Brianna was born, is one of two forms of the disorder and is the most severe. ARO makes itself apparent during infancy and usually presents with abnormally dense skull bones that pinch nerves in the head and face resulting in vision loss and possibly the loss of other senses. This is the cause of Brianna’s blindness. While Brianna has been living with this disorder her entire life, God continues to give her the strength to endure the challenges with which she is confronted. Brianna has broken nearly every bone in her body, and still leads a full life. Her surgical scars tell stories of every battle she has faced and overcome. Brianna founded Scarred Not Broken to serve as a platform to remind other individuals with disabilities that, even if the battles of this world leave them scarred, they are certainly not broken!
