Jesus knew the scriptures and was filled with the Holy Spirit when tempted by Satan. Take Away: In these last three podcasts, we are attempting to help understand that the Bible is the Word of God, it is a unfolding revelation of Jesus and who He is, not just talking about who Jesus was.

Quotes: • Everything that we are, everything that we believe stems and grows from the reality that the scriptures are the word of God. • We should find ourselves in the scriptures, just the same as Jesus did. • You don’t use God, He uses you… • Pray the Word into existence. Take Away: We want the desire to know the Word so much, that it is the Word of God coming through us, not just talking about God.

Show notes: • There is a difference between talking about God and speaking His word. • “When I pray to God, I talk to Him. When I read the Bible, God talks to me” • The word of God is more than revelation, It is an open door to a relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ • Read the scriptures until they become real you. References: Hebrews 4:12 NASB For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two- edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. John 5:39 NIV You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very scriptures that testify about Me, Luke 24:27 NASB And beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the scriptures. Take Away: The Scriptures are more than a history of Jews and Christians. It is full of wonderful stories, parables and mysteries to be reveled by the Holy Spirit to those that hunger to know the truth.

Summary: Do we get so focused that we are not aware of what is around us? There is so much “noise” around us vying for our focus. Practice His Presence, we do not want to miss the little things. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23. gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Job 6:14 “For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; so that he does not forsake the fear of the Almighty.” Psalms 18:25 With the kind You show Yourself kind; with the blameless You show Yourself blameless, Quotes: • Cause yourself to be aware of what is going on around you. • We don’t want to miss the little things. • Somebody where you would least expect it, bears the greatest blessing. • Lord, lead my day. Take Away: A simple act of kindness toward another individual might be just what they needed that day. Let us be aware of the great need that is out there in this world.

Summary: Just how difficult or simple is it to find God’s heart? Many times our gut feeling is tied to God’s heart. Show Notes: • Let’s talk about the Heart of God • We open our hearts to Him, and He reveals His heart to us. • “Create in me a clean heart O, God” References: Psalms 33:21 For our heart rejoices in Him, Because we trust in His holy name. 1 Samuel 16:7b For God sees not as a man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that , as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. 1 Samuel 13:13a, 14 13a. Samuel said to Saul, “You have acted foolishly 14. But now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought our for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” Quotes: • If our spirit is connected with Him, everything else jus falls in line. • It is a simple heart, if you have a heart to walk with Him. • Sometimes it is that gut level feeling. Take Away: We can ask God to reveal His heart and He will show us, it is as simple as that.

Summary: As we are in motion and paying attention, then He will lead us. We do have the option to follow His leading or our own instincts. Being Led takes a faith and trust that He is indeed leading us. Quotes: • Don’t pray for rain, and leave your umbrella at home. • What are You doing today Lord? • What does He want? • You say: “Lord show me the way” Take Away: As we move out in what we believe the Lord is showing us, that is how we continue to learn what being led of the Lord really is.

Summary: With human teaching there is a degradation in transferring what is taught. How can we learn the truth? Show notes: • One can search for answers for a life time and never find them. • The Holy Spirit was sent to teach all things. • The entire earth knows about the troubles it is in. For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope. 21. that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. Quotes: • It’s a giving up of yourself, who are you going to be? • We do research, Father show me. • You cannot judge yesterday’s achievements based on today’s revelations • Take on the Holy Spirit, and let Him lead us. Take Away: Learning anything from a human stand point will lead to futility, only learning via the Holy Spirit is there hope for this earth.

Summary: Everything we know we were taught, whether right or wrong. Young people are very smart and observant; aware. They want to learn from those who love what is being taught. Show Notes: • Introduce the children to everyday life and the fun of learning. • Show them the “how to” specifically as you would like. • Make learning fun and create a closer relationship together. References: Deuteronomy 6:7 You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 13:24 He who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently. Quotes: • I taught them how to find a book about exercise. • I taught them how to find their ways into the library. • After that first lesson, the parents came to me, thanking me because the children were hungry to read the bible' Take Away: The relationship created between a child and their parents in doing things together is priceless, the children will remember these lessons for a lifetime.

Summary: We have our ideas of what to pray, but is it what God wants? Prayer is not begging to God for something, it is asking for His will. Show Notes: • Lord, create in me a clean heart. • We are here because someone prayed for us. • Praying in tongues is allowing the Holy Spirit to speak/pray. • The Holy Spirit knows the mind/heart of God. • It is not my will, but Thy will be done. Matthew 7:7-12 Encouragement to pray. 1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and right way. Colossians 1:9 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 1 Corinthians 14:18, 39 18. I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all; 39. Therefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak in tongues. 1 Kings 18:41-46 Elijah prays for rain. Daniel 10:2-14 Daniel prays for 21 days. Quotes: • Prayer can be worship. • I need His love, I need His joy, I need His patience. • He is the only provider, there is nowhere else to go. • Let the Holy Spirit in you pray for them and you get out of the way. • Ask for it, the ability to speak in tongues. Take Away: Our prayer is to see God’s will done in a person or situation, not our will. Show us Your will, Father, in how to pray for these things.

Show Notes: • The first aspect of prayer is a worship to the Father. • Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done. • My maturing is going to come through waiting on God. • Lord, give me ears to hear. • What is the will of God for that person we are praying for? Guard your steps as you go to the house of God, and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil. 2. Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter therefore let your words be few. Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Quotes: • You’re giving Him the glory right off the bat. • Let me learn to love as you love. • There is a lot that God wants to do through prayer. • We can be in His presence and say one word with an anointing. Take Away: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing; Our prayer is an expression of our relationship with God our Father. Honoring and giving Him praise, worship, and giving up of ourselves to hear what He wants to say to us.

Summary: Impart the love of the Lord to the Children by your actions. An act of kindness can be a blessing to the parents as well as the children. Find ways to bless the children, where are they open? Show notes: • Blessing a child can simply be, hey buddy those are really cool shoes you have on. • You should be aware. In tune with what is happening around these children. • They are looking at us. • It's all about openness and how to minister the Lord into someone's life. Matthew 25:31-46 “The judgment” Matthew 18:5 (NASB) “And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; Mark 10:13-16 Jesus blesses the Little Children Psalms 127:3 (NASB) Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward Proverbs 17:6 (NASB) Grandchildren are the crown of old men, and the glory of sons is their fathers. Quotes: • Connect people with the knowledge that they can bless children. • It’s all about openness, and how to use that openness to minister the Lord into someone’s life. • “Suffer not the little children to come unto me” Takeaway: We need to minister to the young people to give them a potential experience with God that they would not have had otherwise, had we not been kind to them.

Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.” 10. Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea and all that is in it. You islands and those who dwell on them. Isaiah 43:18,19 18. “Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. 19. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Philippians 2:12-14 12. So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; 13. for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. 14. What does hunger have to do with it? Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. John 15:10, 15 10. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love 15. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. James 2:18, 26 18. But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 26. For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. Matthew 25:34-40 “I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink” Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and keep asking and it will be given to you; seek, and keep seeking and you will find; knock, and keep knocking and it will be opened to you.” 1 Samuel 3:1-14 God speaks to Samuel 1 Kings 8:39 Then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive and act and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know, for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men, 1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as a man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Luke 2:41-52 Jesus as a youth in the temple. 49. Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?” Quotes: • The principle of being in motion is a huge principle. • That is the only time I get revelation and I get understanding is when I am moving • Just ask the Lord to show you Himself • It was just the fact of relating to somebody in their need • Read with an anticipation and an expectation that the Holy Spirit is going to speak to you • Pester Him, whatever it takes, till He speaks to you Take Away: Jesus said that He only did what He saw the Father doing, only spoke what He heard the Father speaking. If we are to be like Him, then we probably should seek to hear what He is saying.

Summary: Accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior is only the start, why do we say that? There must be a hunger to know Him, to seek Him, to have that personal relationship with Him on a daily basis. Show Notes: • Salvation is the starting gate. Reading, and abiding in His word to find a further revelation of Him is another step. • Paul had an initial meeting with Jesus on the road to Damascus, but in Philippians he says: “That I may know him and the power of His resurrection.” • God is Love, and that is to be our expression to this earth. • Psalms 51 “Create in me a clean heart, oh God.” • Start where you are and seek the Lord, by opening your heart. • Ask Him to show you what to do, how to do it.
