A brief summary of this episode
Anna truly is the best person to be leading this conversation as she is not only a public speaker, but a tireless advocate for courageous vulnerability in service to deeper connection. But speaking up can often be the most difficult thing to do (even for Anna!) because there is no guarantee that we are going to get the result we are looking for, and that can be really scary. www.unapologeticconnections.com
Momming is hard. And lonely. And so thankless some days. We all put so much pressure on ourselves to be the perfect mom. Let’s face it, there is no such thing as a perfect mom. We ALL do the best we can with what we have. And after chatting about mom guilt we all realized that we are not alone in any these thoughts or feelings.
There are so many tips in this episode. Grab some paper and a pen you wont want to miss anything.
Anna and the ladies get super personal about body shame, talking about the ways in which women of all sizes are struggling... and attempting to create a new dialogue by bringing the shame out from behind change-room doors. We talk media literacy, personal challenges and - as always - we do our very best to stay courageous in the face of some very hard conversations.
We're all "rhino's" aren't we?
A brief summary of this episode
Female friendships are everything. They are the reason we do what we do here at the show. Connection, community and love is what it’s all about. We couldn’t go a day without talking to our girlfriends, but it wasn’t always that easy for us to form those bonds, and we know that some of you out there listening struggle to create friendships with other women as well.
Ashley McIver, Personal Health Coach talks about what it's like to have a blended family and making co parenting work in a way that connects us all and supports our children with love and understanding. Step parents, half siblings, whatever the situation may be we are all family and we are all learning to navigate this journey together.
Hayley Loewen, Innovation Coach, owner of I Am Blessed Mala Beads and Vulnerability Photographer, brought the topic on “How to be creative” to the podcast this week. It had a few people thinking that they themselves were not creative and didn't feel they would have anything to contribute. However, a light bulb struck and ah ha moments were had. You wont want to miss this episode.
On March 7th, 2020, we welcome @thebirdspapaya, Sarah Nicole Landry, to our Unapologetically HER show. The theme for 2020 is STRIPPED. And this will be the most vulnerable, the most stripped back Sarah has ever been. ON this week's episode, airing tomorrow, Thursday Dec. 5th, the ladies and I talk all about: HOW TO BE STRIPPED. We go there. I cry. (Yep, that happens, too)
On tomorrow’s episode, the ladies talk all about boundaries - what they really are, how to set them, and how to determine when they’re being crossed. We establish a unique new way to define boundaries so you can stay more aware of the interactions you are having with others and make sure you are always getting your own needs met. We will take audience questions and - as always - find deeper ways to connect.
Throw your diets out the window and start listening to your body and what it want. Connect with what you eat and notice how you feel. It's in this place where we can truly connect with food, our bodies and our minds.
