Red Sox Pitcher Chris Sale Rehabs in Worcester Featuring Sale's Post-Game Press Conference | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1301

Red Sox ace Chris Sale is very close to coming back to the team after sustaining a stress fracture injury during Spring Training. Sale made his fourth rehab appearance of this stint on Wednesday but this time in Worcester and ended up pitching 3.2 innings and only allowing one run on three hits and striking out 5 batters. The main statistic that Sale was most frustrated about was that he walked 5 batters and he explained more of what he needs to work on before rejoining the Red Sox in his post-game press conference. Massachusetts Pirates Team Insider Jake Ignaszewski had the opportunity to take part in the post-game press conference after Chris Sale's rehab start on Wednesday and asked Chris how this recent injury has changed his preparation at all and what his favorite foods at Fenway are. Other reporters from the Boston media asked Sale about his thoughts on his performances, his excitement about the young Red Sox pitchers and more.  Red Sox Fall To Rays 8-4; Looking Ahead To Brayan Bello's MLB Debut | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1941

The Boston Red Sox could not win the series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday (but still have a chance Wednesday!) after falling 8-4 in a rainy night at Fenway Park. Xander Bogaerts returned to the lineup and belted a home run, Trevor Story also had a home run but Nick Pivetta did not have his best stuff. NESN's Lauren Campbell recaps the Tuesday loss, looks at Pivetta's final line and how bad the Red Sox offense has been with runners on third with fewer than two outs in an inning since June 24. Lauren then welcomes Worcester Red Sox broadcast producer (and her finacé!) Derrick Willand to the show to set expectations for Brayan Bello's MLB debut, what fans can expect and why the hype is real surrounding the Red Sox No. 1 pitching prospect.  Red Sox Shut Out Rays On Bullpen Day; Previewing Brayan Bello's Debut | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1875

The Boston Red Sox kicked off their homestand with a shutout win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday afternoon at Fenway Park thanks in part to a dominant outing by the bullpen. Austin Davis started for the Red Sox on the bullpen day but the game was highlighted by Kutter Crawford going 5 1/3 innings and striking out eight batters in the 4-0 win. NESN's Lauren Campbell recaps the game and highlights just how strong Crawford was and how the young WooSox pitchers are impressing Red Sox manager Alex Cora of late. Later, Lauren welcomes WooSox broadcast producer Derrick Wiland back to the show to preview Brayan Bello's MLB debut and what fans can expect from the young prospect and why the hype is real.  Red Sox Avoid Sweep Vs. Cubs, Lose Rich Hill, Xander Bogaerts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1408

The Boston Red Sox may have avoided the sweep by the Chicago Cubs this weekend, but they lost Rich Hill and Xander Bogaerts in the process. NESN's Lauren Campbell recaps the weekend that included some shotty offenses but strong pitching, while providing updates on Hill (knee strain) and Bogaerts (thigh laceration). Hill landed on the 15-day injured list and Bogaerts is listed as day-to-day. Some positive takeaways from the weekend was another strong start from Josh Winckowski and Connor Seabold bouncing back with a much better start than his one earlier this season. Lauren also looks at Jarren Duran continuing to stay hot and reveals he has been vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning he will be available for the Red Sox when they return to Toronto to face the Blue Jays in September. Lauren also provides an update on Chris Sale and when Red Sox fans might see him return to Boston, and also discusses Garrett Whitlock moving back to the bullpen (something Lauren is very happy about).  Red Sox Snap 7-Game Winning Streak With Loss to Blue Jays, Injury Updates | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1847

On Monday night, the Red Sox snapped their 7-game winning streak after a 7-2 loss to their division rival, the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 1 of a 3-game series. Since the game was in Toronto, Jarren Duran and Tanner Houck couldn't travel due to their vaccination status so Red Sox prospect Connor Seabold had to be called up, which didn't go how the Red Sox planned. Seabold ended up allowing three home runs off the stacked Blue Jays lineup which led to seven total runs over 4.2 innings. Massachusetts Pirates Team Insider Jake Ignaszewski broke down everything that happened in Monday's loss and looked into some positives that came out of Seabold's tough outing. Then he went into how the Red Sox bats performed and why the offense couldn't produce run support for Seabold. Luckily the Sox still have two more games in this series to make up for this loss, so Iggy went into the pitching matchup for tomorrow's game. Lastly, Iggy gave injury updates on Chris Sale, Josh Taylor, Garrett Whitlock, etc as well as read your thoughts on the game from Twitter.
