The nature of the festive period means it’s been three games since we last spoke. The first of those was a woeful 2-0 loss to Watford away from home but Solskjaer’s Reds followed it up with a 4-1 dismantling of Newcastle at home on Boxing Day and a reasonably comfortable 2-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor. It’s arguably the best week of Solskjaer’s time in charge as he nears his one-year anniversary as United boss. It’s evidence as to why he is the right man for United. Manchester United return to action from the international break to find themselves embroiled in a crazy game at Bramall Lane. Solskjaer’s Reds find themselves 2-0 behind, then suddenly 3-2 in front before conceding a late equaliser to Ollie McBurnie of Sheffield United. It’s a result that has divided opinion amongst the fanbase. Some are furious at Solskjaer’s reaction and tactics, others are accepting, others are reasonably positive. Some are a mix. Roberts give his insight into Manchester United's historical relationship with alcohol as a club, focusing in on George Best, John Henry Davies and Sir Alex Ferguson.
