Los Angeles Dodgers playoff baseball, let's go! Excited for the postseason, the guys go extra long as they look to cover all the bases in one 90 minute long super show. The stage is set, the Dodgers face off against the Milwaukee Brewers for the second time in three years and to break down a team we haven't seen, we welcome from "BJ and the Bear," AM1570-Wisconsin's own BJ Degroot. BJ paints the picture of a Brewers team that's ready to roll over in two game so the Milwaukee faithful can get back to their 3-0 Packers in a hurry.  Episode 149 - The Los Angeles Dodgers of Los Angeles are Playing with House Money | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3424

Coming at you live for the second time this week, the guys wonder if -- after the Dodgers played and won against a consensus "good team" in the A's -- people are happy now. Walker Buehler cruised while testing his blister in a final tuneup before the playoffs and Kenley Jansen is doing his part to instill confidence in fans. From good team to bad, the Dodgers welcomed the Anaheim Angels to Los Angeles for the final series of the regular season. With the Halos, Dave Roberts plans on continuing to play with house money and test different "optionality" for October. Mainly the opener and the bulk role. The question from Clint and Brook is whether that's the right call for the boys in blue. Plus the NL Wild Card remains very wild. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit

 Episode 148 – Final Dodgers Tune-Up Before October | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4580

With one week left in the regular season, the Dodgers have the number 1 seed in all of baseball almost wrapped up. However, there a few important question marks that the team hopes to answer in these final six games. First, will Walker Buehler -- returning Thursday -- actually be postseason ready? Can Kenley Jansen prove enough to not give fans maximum anxiety in the final inning of ballgames? Thanks to the wild Wild Card, the Dodgers won't even know who they're playing in the first round of the playoffs for possibly the entire week. Clint and Brook reassess the potential matchups and once again look at them wile-e Redlegs with some concern. Finally, just for fun and to do something completely different for this show, the guys decide to do a compleeeetly original idea in talking about whatever Twitter and the live audience wants to talk about. ...and it gets a little intense.  Episode 146 – The Most Important Dodgers Games Ever... This Week | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4010

The Dodgers dominated the Houston Astros for 17 of 18 innings over the weekend, but the bad taste of a Kenley Jansen blow up and an awful ESPN broadcast ruined it all. Looking forward, as the Padres welcome LA to San Diego, the Blue Heaven boys welcome professional Padres fan Ryan Hart to preview a big series at Dodger Stadium south. Since we got slammed the last time we talked Padres on our own, bringing in a person fully knowledgable in all things Padres just made sense. Hart, the host of the Bleav in Padres Prospects podcast, join us on some wide-ranging Friars topics ahead of the three game series. Additionally, Clint and Brook air their frustrations over MLB's plan to remove booze from postseason celebrations. And, of course, they come up with their own solutions.  Episode 145 – A Little Too Much Dodgers Hubris (with Guest Buster Olney) | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4124

Ok, we're owning up to it... we might have to accept the self-accusations of being guilty of a bit of hubris. Earlier in the week, we looked in the rearview mirror at the Padres while the Dodgers were simply charging up for the playoffs. Three days later, things aren't so peachy for Los Angeles. The rotation is down two arms after Dustin May took a liner off the foot and Walker Buehler hit the IL again with a nagging blister issue. Focusing on Buehler, we welcome first-timer friend of the show, ESPN's Buster Olney to assess where the Dodgers are, and where they might be with Walker come October. Additionally, we hear from MLB experts through Olney their thoughts on what is going on with slugger Cody Bellinger. Finally, we preview the weekend series against the Astros and look at how this is a very different club than LA faced at the end of July. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit

Episode 144 – All Aboard the Dodgers Bullpen Struggle Bus | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3376

After an eventful week, the Blue Heaven boys return and enjoy the fruit of their trolling from the last episode. Padres twitter fans aside, there's also Dodgers notes to talk about. For one, the suddenly shaky bullpen. The question has to be asked, is Dave Roberts reverting back to his old ways with in-game management and overreliance on select relief arms? Next, the guys look at what will likely be the playoff rotation for the Dodgers and compare against what the club might actually do. Additionally, we look ahead to potential playoff matchups that LA could be looking at in the new 3-game first round in October. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit

Episode 143 – Dodgers Deadline, The Padres Got Castro But They Still A** Tho | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4018

After a mostly uneventful but shocking trading deadline for the Dodgers, we mourn and breakdown the loss of one of our favorite friends of the show Ross Stripling who was sent to the Blue Jays on Monday. Meanwhile, the Padres made a huge splash that has their fanbase getting way ahead of itself while the Diamondbacks blew it all up. Clint and Brook assess the MLB trade deadline as a whole after a busy August 31st.  We also discuss the records set by the Dodgers in the last week and settle on how meaningful the new NL home run record for a month is in a season featuring the designated hitter. For this week's Jim Beam Hot Shot segment, the guys and the audience slam the playoff bubble proposed by MLB. Not to say the idea is bad, but the planning once again screws over the Dodgers... thanks, Rob Manfred. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit

Episode 142 – Dodgers Mid-Season Review, and Trashing the Unwritten Rules | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5243

The first 30 games have come and gone for the Dodgers and that means there's only half a season left. Clint and Brook along with Gary making his return break down some key moments and stats from the first half of the 2020 campaign. Additionally, we touch on the trade deadline once again and put on our GM hats to fix a team that doesn't need much fixing. Next, in the inaugural Jim Beam Hot Shot segment, Clint, Brook, and Gary dig into the big unwritten rules debate stemming from Fernando Tatis Jr's 3-0 grand slam. Long story short, no one is overly happy with these decrepit ideologies from the old guard of baseball. All this and a whole lot more in this extended episode of Blue Heaven!  Episode 141 – Salty Dave Caves, Dodgers Take Off | Blue Heaven Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4272

The hashtag #SaltyDave made it's way around Twitter after Dave Roberts hit a boiling point with questions about his lineup decisions. After a tense Zoom call with local media, Doc finally caved and gave in to the pressure and let Mookie Betts hit leadoff full time. The Dodgers haven't lost since. With Dave out of his own way, Mookie found another way to help as Austin Barnes personal hitting coach. Sort of. We talk about the resurgent Real AB and the new catching conundrum the Dodgers are facing behind the plate with rookie Keibert Ruiz in the big leagues. We turn to Dodgers Nation's prospects expert SDDodger Tim Rogers to learn all about the new kid in town. And finally, with the trade deadline two weeks away, we wonder if the Dodgers have any real needs to fill from outside of the organization. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit
