Summary: I'm a happy go lucky ray of freaking sunshine and that’s about all I bring to the table. I'm a mess, folks. I do NOT have it all together. Not. Even. Close. The good news? I'm committed to becoming the best version of myself. Join me every .... time I randomly post at this point. "Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." These are the words I end this episode with. Although, I use it in a way you might not expect. my brain is unique, but you'll understand once you listen. Hate can never inspire true lasting change, only love can do that, especially when it comes to your body. Side note, thank you to my wonderful friends who unknowingly encouraged me to start back up. Not tomorrow, not a week from today, but today. love you in a way no one can describe, k bye!
Friends!! Wow, 2020 has been quite the year, hasn't it? Personally, I went skydiving. I attended a Rachel Hollis conference. Got promoted to manager of an amazing sports complex. The world shut down from COVID. Lost multiple people I loved dearly to cancer. To all of that I say, I love you. I miss you, but this will be the last episode of the year. Take a listen to see where I am at, and how this podcast may look in 2021. Cheers to a better year in 2021 than we had in 2020. k, love you bye. LOL
I've never been one to plan all too well, but I do see when there is a common theme showing up in my life. Listen to me ramble on about more grace, more love, and more compassion... because at the end of the day, we're just humans doing the best we can and most times we aren't even close to getting it right. grace for you, too.
Hi Friends!! today's episode we talk a little bit about why I do this, what we want this podcast community to look like, why it's a safe place for you to come as you are, own your flaws (but not be judged by them), and grow at your own pace.... all while being fully loved along the way. if that sounds good to you, let's be friends?
ANTS (automatic negative thoughts) can become a major problem if not taken care of promptly at the time of arrival. Did you guys know that you don't have to believe every stupid thought that pops into your mind? What would happen if we stopped believing the little lies and challenged them instead? Cheers to growth, friends.
Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like, sooner or later, everyone will find out that you don't deserve your success/accomplishments? If so, you're not alone. 70% of individuals experience this... so why is no one talking about it? You are not an imposter. You are an original. Cheers to growth, friends.
You ever feel like the world expects you to be happy 100% of the time? Like if you show up less than perfect, they might think differently of you? cuz, same. Today, we dive into just some of the reasons why it's totally okay to not be okay. In the words of Dixie Damelio, "Sometimes, I don't want to be happy, don't hold it against me."
With everything going on in the world, I have found comfort in the idea that we were made for such a time as this. In your life, you can make a difference where God has placed you. Right here. Right now. Follow along as we discuss this idea, and how I navigated what I believe to be my purpose in this chaos.
Putting your big girl pants on can actually be kind of a daunting task, especially, when putting your big girl pants on is code for chasing your dreams and living out your God given calling. But, just like anything else, living in your calling is as easy as putting pants on, just one leg at a time. Join us for a fun interview with my friend Casey Gray who dives into purpose and the things that might be getting in our way.
In our last episode in our mini series with AshleyDawn, we talk empowerment with the queen of empowerment. When it comes to cheering for others, she's always the first and the loudest. When it comes to believing in and for other people, she's ready in any given moment. What does empowerment look like? why does it matter? How can we be better?
Part 3 of our mini series with AshleyDawn. In this episode we discuss opinions, and how everybody seems to have them. The bigger questions that we have are these: 1. what are you doing about it? 2. How hard are you really trying to understand the other side? if you're the type of person who refuses to hear both sides, and would rather extend hate, this episode might not be for you.
Everyone, at one time or another, has felt uninvited, left out, or not included. AshleyDawn and I dive into the topic of being uninvited, how hurtful it can be, and how to be someone who is an included, because why not. The more the merrier, right? At least, by our standards, more is always merrier. Cheers to growth, friends.
Sun Happens is starting a 4 part series where we dive into various topics with AshleyDawn, CEO of Inner Beauty Ministry. This episode is an introduction to who she is, how she came into her calling, why it matters and where she's going, next.
"In the age we are living in, our pace is often faster than our capacity, and it's easy to let our lives become unsustainable and unmanageable." We're learning a lot of things from this COVID19 pandemic, healthy pace being one of them. What better model to follow then the model of Jesus? Cheers to Growth, friends.
We're taking a break from our life coaching series to discuss clarity in a time of crisis. In this episode, we reflect and discuss what we have learned through from Covid`9. Who do we want to be? Who do we want to show up as during this time? More importantly, who do we want to be after this passes? One thing I do know, I don't want to be a people who forget the lessons and go back to who we were before all of this. Cheers to growth, friends!
