Hello everyone! We’re so grateful you’re here and we’re excited to share this special project with you. A lot of people have been asking why we’re hiking across the United States (from San Francisco to Washington D.C.), so we thought we’d share our story and show you what you can do to make an impact as well. While driving from Laguna Beach to San Francisco, California to visit Paul’s family, we were talking about some of the problems we’re facing as a country and what we can do to make a difference aside from just posting on social media and talking about it. The thought came to Paul, “What if we walked from coast to coast sharing the message of peace and acceptance while spreading kindness across the nation?” “What if we invited people to join us throughout different parts of the trail to walk for something that is bigger than ourselves?” After making this bold suggestion, we both looked at each other with a big smile and agreed that this is something we want to do (despite how unprepared and out of our minds we are to do this). With that being said, we know that this won’t solve all the problems we’re facing as a nation. And this movement towards more peace, acceptance, and kindness doesn’t end when we reach Washington D.C. But what we do hope comes from this is a little more inspiration and hope in the world that we can overcome the challenges we’re facing and that we can heal from the pains of the past. This cause is so much bigger than just Paul and James backpacking from coast to coast. This is about bringing people together and improving humanity for all. What can you do to get involved? It started out just two entrepreneurs searching for the zen way of business life and through that journey led them to Entrepreneur Launch Pad. After living in survival mode for most of my marriage, divorce was an awakening. One of the most difficult things to awaken too is a need to find value in yourself. When an addict is in active addiction, many try to keep those closest to them focused on all the things that are wrong with them. That way, you are less able to see what is going on around you. When I needed a way to increase my ability to provide for my family, I prayed earnestly and was given the direction to do photography. Something I had played with but I had never been a “serious” photographer. But when God directs and we listen, He makes away. Things fell into place for me to get education, equipment and even to afford website and insurance. From there it fell on me to decide where my heart lies. My greatest love is what I call slow glam photography. Glamour photography is not boudoir photography, though the terms have unfortunately begun to become synonymous.  My goal is to highlight the beauty that is already there, not to completely reinvent it. Women struggle for various reasons accepting themselves and the natural changes that come through life events. My goal has always been to have my clients better see the beauty and class that is already apart of who they are. When they look at their images, they see themselves, not an army of hairdressers, make-up artists and Photoshop.   During covid, I wasn’t able to do this, but I wanted to help. I wanted to do something that would show love for my community. I noticed that the Front Porch Project was taking off around the nation and I wanted to be apart, but I always like to do things a little different. I did not charge people money for their portraits, only their story. This has become a local vehicle for individuals, families and even business owners to share their challenges but also the surprised blessings that have come during Covid. It has been a vehicle for the positive. A place for the everyday person to have a voice.
